NEW YORK (AP) - The New York City’s public libraries and zoos are closed because of the storm that is dumping 1 to 3 inches of snow an hour on the metro area.

All of the libraries are closed Saturday including the Brooklyn Public Library, New York Public Library and Queens Library systems. Some may reopen Sunday.

The Wildlife Conservation Society says city zoos and the New York Aquarium are closed Saturday and will reopen Sunday.

The Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian in lower Manhattan is closed Saturday.

The National Weather Service says parts of the area will get up to 2 feet of snow by Sunday morning.
