MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot police say a 45-year-old man suspected of robbing a downtown bank has been arrested in Idaho.

Capt. John Klug says the man walked into the U.S. Bank on First Avenue at about 11:30 a.m. Thursday and passed a note to the teller asking for money from the drawer. Investigators identified the suspect after sharing surveillance camera photos, obtained an arrest warrant and determined that the man had returned to his home state.

Minot police worked with the FBI to inform the Benewah County Sheriff’s Office in St. Maries, Idaho, and the man agreed to turn himself in. He was arrested Friday evening.

Formal charges are pending.
