PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Authorities say a Providence man has been indicted in connection with a 2013 homicide.

Twenty-two-year-old Donnell Kilgore is charged with murder and discharging a firearm while committing a crime of violence resulting in death.

Attorney General Peter Kilmartin announced the indictment Friday.

Authorities say Kilgore shot and killed 19-year-old Demitri Todd in April 2013.

Providence police say Todd was found on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds outside a car that had crashed into a telephone pole on Hartford Street in Providence.

Kilgore has been held without bail since his arrest in August.

He’s scheduled to be arraigned Jan. 29 in Providence Superior Court.

It’s unclear whether Kilgore is being represented by an attorney.
