ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A teenage boy was critically injured and a man was also hurt when a vehicle struck them as they were bicycling in the Albuquerque area.

Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies say the collision happened at 11 a.m. Saturday near Coors Boulevard and Los Padillas Road.

According to Sheriff’s spokesman Josh Kingsbury, the driver of had been traveling south on Coors in the right lane when the vehicle struck the two victims.

The bicyclists were also riding south on a white fog line.

The boy was hospitalized with critical injuries.

The man was hospitalized with an injured femur.

Deputies do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to the crash.

The incident remains under investigation.
