NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Airports in New Jersey and New York City have been mostly shuttered by the strong winter storm that’s socking the east coast.

Port Authority officials say LaGuardia, JFK, Newark Liberty and Atlantic City airports are all open. But all flights have been cancelled at LaGuardia, Newark and Atlantic City due to the snow and strong winds.

Arrivals and departures have been suspended at JFK. But officials say there is a chance that “very limited” flight departures may happen there this afternoon.

Teterboro Airport is closed due to significant white out conditions.

Passengers are being urged to contact their carriers before traveling to airports.
