VERDON, Neb. (AP) - Pavement, bridge and other work on U.S. Highway 73 could hamper motorists starting early next month in southeast Nebraska.

The work will be done on a five-mile stretch east and west of Verdon. The Nebraska Roads Department says the repair project is scheduled to begin the week of Feb. 1 and be completed in August.

Traffic will be controlled by signal lights and speeds will be reduced.
