PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Peoria fire officials say nobody was hurt when a boat caught fire at Lake Pleasant.

The Peoria Fire-Medical Department says the blaze was reported early Sunday morning at the lake’s Pleasant Harbor Marina.

According to Peoria fire spokesman Tim Eiden, responding crews located a 30-foot boat already engulfed in flames.

Eiden says firefighters put out flames and then untied the boat, which was at the end of the dock.

The vessel was then towed to open water where a Peoria fire boat fully extinguished it with help from Phoenix firefighters and a harbor fire boat.

Eiden says there were no injuries and no other boats were damaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
