MEDIA, Pa. (AP) - Closing arguments are scheduled Monday in the suburban Philadelphia trial of a man charged in the strangulation death of his former girlfriend.

The Delaware County Daily Times (https://bit.ly/1VinA5G ) reports that testimony concluded Friday in Delaware County in the trial of 39-year-old De-Schae Lowry of Upper Darby in the August 2014 death of 38-year-old Masako Griffin.

Lowry turned himself in to authorities in Florida, where officials said he told them that he had found the victim murdered.

A court official testified that the victim had obtained three protection-from-abuse orders against the defendant, most recently a month before she was killed.

A forensic scientist said Lowry’s DNA was found under the victim’s fingernails but acknowledged under defense cross-examination that close personal contact could result in DNA being found in that place.
