WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) - Brandeis University will host a series of events to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the nomination and appointment of Louis D. Brandeis to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Brandeis, the first Jewish justice on the high court, will be honored Thursday during a panel discussion of notable jurists and scholars.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is scheduled to make remarks.

The panel discussion will feature Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Ralph Gants; Massachusetts District Court Judge Mark Wolf; Jeffrey Toobin, a writer for The New Yorker and senior legal analyst for CNN; and Philippa Strum, a senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
