HIGDON, Ala. (AP) - One man has been killed and another has been injured following a shooting in north Alabama.

Local news outlets report authorities have arrested 40-year-old Cody Wade in connection with the shooting.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says the incident began after Wade and a woman got into an argument at residence in the Higdon community Sunday morning. Sheriff Jimmy Harris says the woman later called for a ride. Two men identified as Barry White and William Gilreath arrived to pick her up.

Authorities say Wade also attempted to get into the vehicle but White drove away. Wade then fired shots at the moving vehicle, hitting White and Gilreath. White later died as a result of the gunshots.

Authorities arrested Wade on murder charges.

It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
