HONOLULU (AP) - A man suspected of setting a woman on fire is being held on a $1 million bond and has been charged with second-degree attempted murder.

Police say 25-year-old Bobby Young-Townsend was arguing with a woman in a parked van Monday afternoon when he poured a flammable liquid on her.

Family members told KHON-TV the woman is 26-year-old Leilani Parado. They say she was on fire when she fled the vehicle and found help.

Parado was taken to the hospital where she is in critical condition.

KITV-TV reports the suspect is also facing four other charges.
