BALTIMORE (AP) - Power companies across the Mid-Atlantic region are working to restore power in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia and the District.

BGE reports that roughly 12,000 customers in Baltimore lost power during the snow storm. AT the height of the storm about 5,550 customers were in the dark at once. But as of 11 a.m. Sunday power was restored to nearly all area customers.

Matt Likovich, a spokesman for DelMarva Power said by Sunday morning the company had restored power to more than 47,000 customers who lost power in Delaware and Maryland. Likovich said the company did not de-energize power from 620 customers in Ocean City who were in a flood zone, as initially expected.

As of Sunday Pepco spokesman Marcus Beal said power had been restored for all but 20 customers, all of whom reside in Montgomery County. There were no remaining outages in Washington.
