GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A resident of a Gainesville group home has been charged with aggravated battery after authorities say she attacked another resident and bit off parts of two of his fingers.

The Gainesville Sun (bit.ly/1PvvILY) reports the woman punched the 89-year-old man several times during an unprovoked attack before biting off the ends of two of his fingers.

The woman is charged with aggravated battery on a person age 65 or older.
