Opening statements are expected in the federal lawsuit filed by a young black man who was unarmed when he was shot and left paralyzed by a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy.

DEPUTY CRASHES INTO CAR ON INTERSTATE 95

The Broward Sheriff’s deputy was traveling south in an unmarked car when he struck a vehicle that was stopped in the HOV lane early Monday. There was no word on injuries.

ORLANDO SOCCER TEAM SIGNS 10-YEAR DEAL WITH CITY

The Orlando City Soccer Club last week agreed to pay the city $18 million for the land on which the team is building a $155 million stadium.
