DULUTH, Minn. (AP) - A 75-year-old Minnesota man who’s battling cancer is gearing up to run his 92nd marathon.

Don Wright, a Duluth native, will participate in the Memorial Hermann USA Fit Marathon on Jan. 31 in Sugar Land, Texas. The race begins and ends on the University of Houston campus.

WDIO-TV (https://bit.ly/1QuquVT ) reports that Wright’s first marathon was Grandma’s Marathon in Duluth in 2003, when he was 62. A few weeks after the race, he was diagnosed with myeloma, a blood cancer that damages bones.

Wright ran a marathon in all 50 states after his diagnosis. He hopes to complete his 100th marathon by the end of the year.
