CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Police in New Hampshire’s capital city are searching for a man who stabbed a convenience store clerk during a robbery that took place over the weekend.

The robbery occurred at the Concord Mart on North Main Street in Concord around 2:25 p.m. Sunday.

Police say a white man, possibly in his 40s, with gray facial hair entered the store and demanded money from the register. The clerk told officers that the robber brandished a knife before asking him if he “wanted to die.”

Police say the clerk attempted to fight off the robber with a stick from behind the counter. He was stabbed during the struggle and was hospitalized for a laceration to his hand.

The robber hasn’t been located since fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.
