SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - A 23-year-old Sioux Falls woman accused of breaking into her ex-boyfriend’s home and threatening him has been indicted on assault and burglary charges.

The Argus Leader (https://argusne.ws/1VjSXNl ) reports that Janie Salinas is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, three counts of simple assault and one count of first-degree burglary. She faces up to 73 years in prison if she’s convicted on all of the charges.

The 35-year-old victim called police to his home at about 5:15 p.m. on Dec. 17.

Police say he told officers that Salinas had come into his home carrying a metal pipe of bar and threatened him. He said she also threatened him with a kitchen knife.

Salinas was arrested after she left the victim’s home. It wasn’t immediately known whether she has an attorney.
