RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory’s campaign raised twice the amount of money in the second half of 2015 compared to what it did in the first six months.

The Pat McCrory Committee announced Tuesday it will report by Friday’s campaign report filing deadline $2.6 million in contributions through Dec. 31 and more than $4.1 million in cash on hand.

The committee raised $1.3 million in the first six months, about $850,000 less than what Democratic candidate Roy Cooper’s campaign raised in the same period. Cooper hasn’t yet released second-half figures.

McCrory has two Republican primary rivals, including former state Rep. Robert Brawley. Democrat Ken Spaulding is also running.

McCrory’s second-half total exceeds both what his campaign raised in the second half of 2011 and what Democratic Gov. Beverly Perdue raised.
