DENVER (AP) - Authorities say two men stole a key from a running car and used it to enter a Denver house.

KUSA-TV reports (https://on9news.tv/1Uolkda ) that Denver police say one man was taken into custody and another man took off on foot.

Police say the keys were taken from an empty, puffing car on Jan. 22, and the two men used the key to enter a home just before 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Authorities say the homeowner detained one of the men until police could arrest him. The man said he was armed but police did not find a weapon.
