EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) - Jamaal Calvin scored 15 points, including Southeast Missouri’s final six, to help the Redhawks beat Southern Illinois-Edwardsville 58-51 in a cold-shooting matchup Thursday night.

Trey Kellum added 14 points and Antonius Cleveland 10 for the Redhawks (5-16, 2-6 Ohio Valley), who were 16-of-56 shooting for 29 percent.

Burak Eslik had 16 points and Keenan Simmons 10 for the Cougars (4-17, 1-8), who shot 16 of 49 for 33 percent. Michael Chandler blocked eight shots, four more than the senior’s previous high at SIEU and tops in the conference this season.

The Redhawks had a 43-37 rebounding edge and six fewer turnovers in winning their third straight.

The Cougars led 22-20 at halftime. SE Missouri didn’t lead in the second half until Kellum made two free throws with 3:15 left. His 3-point play with 2:08 to go made it 50-47. Cleveland added a bucket before Calvin’s free throws.
