PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey says he hasn’t been able to make good on his wager with North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory over who would win last Sunday’s NFC championship game.

Ducey said Friday he plans to dress his family dog Woody in a Carolina jersey since he lost the bet when the Arizona Cardinals lost 49-15 to the Panthers.

But the governor says he hasn’t paid up because “there’s not a lot of Carolina jerseys available here in Arizona, thank God.”

There’s a jersey on order and as soon as it arrives he promises to “reluctantly” put it on his golden retriever and share a picture.

Ducey says he’s backing Denver in the Super Bowl because he likes quarterback Peyton Manning and is looking for the Broncos to beat Carolina.
