RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is unveiling two economic development deals.

The governor on Friday announced the company AvePoint Inc. will expand operations in Arlington County and open an operation in Richmond. McAuliffe also announced that carton manufacturer Arkay Packaging Corporation is making an $11 million investment in Botetourt County that will create 50 new jobs.

McAuliffe has made economic development his top priority as governor and has traveled to multiple countries trying to recruit new businesses to locate in Virginia.

He’s announced more than 550 new economic development projects, worth more than $9 billion in capital investment during his two years in office.
