RICHWOOD, La. (AP) - A Richwood mayoral candidate wanting to get his name in front of voters claims about a dozen campaign signs he erected are missing.

Gerald Brown Sr. tells The News-Star (https://tnsne.ws/1NFmong) the small yard signs were all taken from along Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Brown said he’s the first mayoral candidate to put signs out in the community.

He says the public works department found about five of his signs thrown behind a dilapidated house, close to where they had originally been placed.

Brown feels the signs might have been taken by juveniles.

He hasn’t filed a police report, believing it is an isolated incident.
