ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Forecasters say northern and central New Mexican can expect a strong dose of winter weather over the weekend.

The National Weather Service says a storm system will produce strong and gusty winds in the region between Saturday and Monday night, with snow accumulations in much of the north and west.

Forecasters say cold temperatures below seasonal norms will spread over northern and central New Mexico Sunday night through Tuesday.
