FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Spirit Lake Reservation man convicted of sexually assaulting a child as she slept has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison.

A jury last October convicted 41-year-old Jay Littlewind Sr. of aggravated sexual abuse of a child. Authorities say the Tokio man engaged in a sex act with the child in 2008 as she lay sleeping.

U.S. Attorney Christopher Myers says Littlewind will be on supervised release for five years following his prison time.
