WASHINGTON (AP) - Austin Tillotson scored 15 points and Colgate defeated American 56-37 on Sunday.

Tillotson was 7 of 14 from the field and handed out eight assists. Tom Rivard was 5 of 6 with two 3-pointers for 12 points for the Raiders (6-7, 2-0 Patriot), who were 23 of 43 for 53.5 percent. The Raiders have won five out of their last six games.

Paris Maragkos scored 11 points for the Eagles (2-11, 0-2), who were 14 of 40 for 35 percent and just 4 of 15 from 3-point range. They were held to their fewest points of the season in losing their sixth straight game.

Rivard had back-to-back 3-pointers during a 10-2 run that gave the Raiders a 48-34 lead with six minutes left. Seconds later, Jesse Reed hit a 3 but the Eagles didn’t score again.

Colgate led 23-20 at halftime behind nine points from Tillotson.
