MEREDITH, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Department of Transportation is holding a meeting on Jan. 14 to discuss proposed improvements to the intersection of U.S. Route 3 and state Route 25 in Meredith.

The project involves improvements starting about 200 feet south of the U.S. 3 / Lake Street intersection and running north for about 2,000 feet to a point approximately 600 feet north of the U.S. 3 / N.H. 25 intersection.

It will upgrade the existing traffic signals at the U.S. 3 / N.H. 25 intersection, install a new pedestrian signal on U.S. 3, and improve the existing sidewalk network.

The public meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. in the cafeteria at Inter-Lakes High School.
