DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Daily Non-stop flights from Daytona Beach to New York are expected to begin Thursday.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal (https://www.news-journalonline.com/ ) reports local business leaders are touting the new daily route as good sign for the region’s economy.

Rick Karl is director of the Daytona Beach International Airport. Karl says the new service should bolster tourism, increase convention business and help attract new businesses to the area.
