BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota rural electric cooperatives are planning their 73rd annual meeting in Bismarck.

The meeting of the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives is slated Jan.6-8 at the Ramkota Hotel.

The group is the statewide trade association for 16 electric distribution cooperatives and five generation and transmission cooperatives operating in North Dakota.

The cooperatives provide electricity to nearly 250,000 North Dakotans.
