CINCINNATI (AP) - Ohio Department of Transportation officials are planning a series of overnight shutdowns of northbound Interstate 75 near Cincinnati this week and next.

ODOT says the northbound lanes will be closed at 11 p.m. Tuesday to allow for bridge repairs with all lanes reopening at 5 a.m. Wednesday.

The northbound lanes are also scheduled to be closed overnight on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Overnight closures are slated for three days next week.

Motorists heading north out of downtown Cincinnati and Kentucky will be detoured to westbound Interstate 74, eastbound I-275 and then back to I-75.

ODOT officials say message boards and signs will alert motorists to the closures. Officials say bad weather could cause changes in the work schedule for the ongoing I-75 improvement project.
