PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Bryce White scored 19 points, Calaen Robinson added 17 more and Portland State hung on for a 76-68 win over Sacramento State in the Big Sky Conference opener for both teams Saturday night.

Eight of White’s points came in the final 1:13 of the game, including 6 of 6 shooting from the line.

Cameron Forte added 14 points and nine rebounds and Isaiah Pineiro had 11 points for Portland State (5-7), which forced 16 turnovers to get its first win over the Hornets since 2014.

Trailing 33-25 at the break, Sacramento State (7-5) tightened the gap with an 8-3 burst to open the second half. Trevis Jackson’s bucket with 6:21 left tied it at 51 before Portland State retook control down the stretch.

Justin Strings led Sacramento State with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Eric Stuteville had 17 points and 12 boards, Dreon Barlett scored 13 and Marcus Graves 12.
