ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) - An inmate at a Washington County jail has been found dead.

The Spectrum in St. George reports (https://bit.ly/1msLMre) that officials at Purgatory Correction Facility found 22-year-old Jessica Anne Poulson unresponsive in a cell around noon Saturday.

Jail Chief Deputy Jake Schultz says Poulson, of St. George, appears to have taken her own life and that no other inmates were involved.

The facility, however, put all inmates on lock-down status while the incident was investigated by a task force.

According to prison officials, Poulson was serving a 112-day sentence for a felony drug charge and misdemeanor counts involving drug paraphernalia and giving police false identification information.

She was convicted last year.
