EDISON, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say a state corrections officer stands accused of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl.

Cole Boykin Jr. is charged with sexual assault, child endangerment and prostitution.

Middlesex County prosecutors say the charges announced Saturday stem from an alleged encounter that occurred Friday at an Edison hotel.

The investigation began after the teen and a 16-year-old girl were stopped by police outside the hotel. The pair reported having a dispute with Boykin, who allegedly had contacted the 15-year-old through a website and arranged to meet her at the hotel.

Prosecutors say the 34-year-old Bordentown resident left the area before police arrived. But he was eventually tracked down by authorities.

A telephone number for Boykin could not be located Saturday. He works at New Jersey State Prison in Trenton.
