SOUTH HERO, Vt. (AP) - Authorities in Vermont say a large chunk of ice blew off a tractor trailer and crashed through a car’s windshield, injuring the driver.

The Burlington Free Press reports (bfpne.ws/1PpuTZj) that the truck was travelling eastbound on the Route 2 causeway in South Hero just before noon on Saturday when the accident occurred.

The Grand Isle sheriff’s department says the truck did not stop. The female driver of the SUV the ice struck has not been identified and her condition is not known.

A March, 2014 a document issued by the American Trucking Association states that Vermont does not have a law regarding the removal of snow and ice from trucks.
