SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) - Spokane Valley sheriff’s detectives have arrested a 38-year-old man on domestic violence and aggravated murder charges.

Corey M. Burnam was booked in the jail on Saturday. The charges stem from the death of a 29-year-old female on Friday night.

Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at about 7 p.m. Friday and found the female victim bleeding and unresponsive. Efforts to revive her were unsuccessful and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A deputy and his K9 partner searched the area and found Burnam hiding under a trailer. He was taken to a local hospital and arrested after he was released.

Detectives remained at the scene through the night and interviewed witnesses on Saturday. The victim’s name was not immediately released.
