RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police are searching for a vehicle involved in a deadly hit-and-run.

Police say the incident happened Saturday around 5:50 a.m. near Fourth Street and Spokane.

According to investigators, a 55-year-old man was legally crossing Fourth Street when a pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed with its headlights off struck him.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the vehicle fled.

Police describe the pickup as new and light-colored.

They are interviewing witnesses and examining video from nearby businesses to determine the driver’s identity.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
