WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) - A newly-opened restaurant in Waterloo is now closed for at least a week to clean up from a fire.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1Q1vCw1 ) that the fire broke out in Tokyo Bay just after 3 a.m. Saturday. Investigators say restaurant video cameras captured the start of the fire, which was caused when hot fried food was placed in a plastic container on a countertop that later ignited.

Waterloo Fire Battalion Chief Mike Moore says there was a lot of smoke damage to the restaurant, and sprinklers will have to be reinstalled.
