MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) - The Delaware State Police is investigating after an armed robbery at a gas station in Middletown.

State Police said in a statement that the robbery happened around 10 p.m. Friday when a man entered the Valero Shore Stop at 4434 Summit Bridge Road and demanded money from the clerk. State Police say the man implied he was armed.

State Police say the man pushed the clerk and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing on foot. The clerk was not injured.

State Police described the suspect as a white man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt under a jacket and light colored sweatpants. State Police say the man likely weighs between 130 and 170 pounds and is between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall.
