SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Fletcher Magee scored 18 points and Wofford used a late run to beat Western Carolina 85-66 on Saturday.

Wofford (10-12, 6-3 Southern) made 37 of 49 free throws and 10 of 21 3-point attempts. Justin Gordon scored 16 points with seven rebounds, Eric Garcia had 13 points and nine boards, while Ryan Sawvell added 11 points and six boards. The Terriers won the rebound battle 40-23.

Western Carolina (8-14, 3-6 Southern) was led by Mike Brown with 23 points. Torrion Brummitt added 14 points. The Catamounts made just 2 of 10 from beyond the arc.

Wofford led by just four with 6:15 to go, but Western Carolina didn’t make another field goal, as it missed its last seven shots and turned it over five times in the span.

Wofford closed on a 17-2 run, with 3-pointers by Magee and Spencer Collins.
