HURRICANE, Utah (AP) - A 16-year-old boy is in stable condition after falling 25 feet from a cliff in Hurricane.

Authorities received reports of the teen falling shortly before 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Olympus Academy area.

Hurricane fire crews and Washington County Search and Rescue crews located the boy around 6 p.m.

Washington County Deputy Darrell Cashin tells The Spectrum of St. George (https://bit.ly/1KPFCXJ) that the teenager was walking near the cliff’s edge when he slipped.

He suffered injuries to his head, back and leg.

Cashin says the boy was in good enough condition to be carried to an ambulance.

He was taken to Dixie Regional Hospital.
