ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say two people including a child died after a police chase ended in a crash in southwest Atlanta.

Atlanta police Lukasz Sadjak told local news media that the crash occurred Sunday morning after College Park officers chased a black Suburban sports utility vehicle they believed was stolen. Sadjak says the SUV hit another vehicle and then overturned in a residential near Westview Cemetery.

Sadjak says a 76-year-old woman and 12-year-old boy died at the scene. Names of the victims have not been released. Police say the person who caused the crash ran from the scene.

Georgia State Patrol, College Park and Atlanta police are still investigating the crash.
