EULA, Texas (AP) - An evacuation notice has been lifted for residents of a small West Texas town briefly displaced after a wildfire burned hundreds of acres.

Authorities reported a wildfire Saturday that burned 700 acres in Callahan County, east of Abilene. One person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation. A spark from an electrical pole is believed to have started the blaze. It forced an evacuation of Eula, southeast of Abilene.

Firefighters had mostly brought the blaze under control by Saturday night.
