WATERBURY, Vt. (AP) - The Green Mountain Club, maintainer of Vermont’s Long Trail, is co-hosting the 20th annual Winter Trails Day with guided hikes around the Waterbury area.

The event takes place Saturday, Feb. 6 with nine free guided hikes for people of every experience level.

Hikes will leave from the CC Outdoor Store between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Organizers say GMC and store representatives will be on site all day to help hikers with registration, trail information, gear suggestions and hiking tips.

The hike schedule is available online at www.bit.ly/wintertrailsday .
