MINOT, N.D. (AP) - A Virginia man wanted by authorities for allegedly burning a child’s arm with a hot iron has been arrested in North Dakota.

The U.S. Marshal’s Service says 25-year-old Nathan Horn was arrested in Minot this week. The Newport News Police Department issued an arrest warrant in December. He was wanted on charges of malicious wounding of a child and felony child abuse.

Deputy U.S. Marshals in Minot received a request for assistance from a task force in Washington D.C.

Horn was found at an address in Minot and arrested without incident.

He was transported to the Ward County Jail and had his initial appearance in court Friday.

Ward could be extradited back to Virginia.
