NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Police in North Charleston are investigating a shooting that left one man dead.

Authorities tell local media outlets they responded to a shooting call shortly after 5 a.m. Sunday. Police say they found a man in the street who had been shot to death.

Investigators say the man had been talking with someone inside a car who got out and started shooting at him. The shooter then drove away.

No arrests have been made and authorities haven’t released the dead man’s name. The investigation is ongoing.
