PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say they have someone in custody in connection with a stabbing that followed a fight between two riders on a city bus in northeast Philadelphia last week.

A police spokesman said Sunday evening that a person of interest was custody in the case, but there was no immediate word about arrests or charges.

The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority said two men started arguing at about 2 p.m. Friday on a Route 56 bus near the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Paul Street in the city’s Frankford section.

Officials said one of the men stabbed the other and then got off the bus. The victim as treated at the scene. SEPTA and city police have been investigating.
