SAGINAW, Texas (AP) - Police in the North Texas town of Saginaw say two officers were hospitalized after being attacked by a man who was then fatally shot by one of the officers.

Police say the officers were responding to a call late Saturday night when the man attacked them.

The identity of the man who was killed was not immediately released.

Police spokesman Sgt. Damon Ing says one of the officers had a concussion and the other had injuries that included a wrist injury.

Saginaw is located just north of Fort Worth.
