JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - A woman is in custody on suspicion of a 2014 stabbing death in Juneau.

Juneau Police arrested 28-year-old Nora Edith Thomas, who was 50-year-old Christopher Kenney’s live-in girlfriend when he died.

KTOO-FM reports (https://bit.ly/1JSeMmN) Thomas initially told police Kenney slipped and fell on a knife while washing dishes. A court document says she told investigators this week that Kenney was abusive, and that she grabbed a knife after he shoved her.

Thomas told a detective that she didn’t intend to kill Kenney.

She is being held on $250,000 bail.
