COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Authorities in Columbus say one person is dead and two were critically injured after a car slammed head-on into another vehicle.

Crews arrived at the scene of the crash around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. One person was pronounced dead at around 6 p.m.

Three others who were in the car that was hit were taken to local hospitals. They are expected to survive.

The names of those involved have not been released.
