NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (AP) - Authorities say a driver has been killed and three passengers injured in a western Nebraska crash.

The accident was reported a little after 2:15 a.m. Sunday on East Rolling Hills Road northeast of North Platte. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says the vehicle ran off the roadway, went up an embankment and rolled when the driver attempted to negotiate a curve.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The Sheriff’s Office identified him as 24-year-old Kristian Woodhouse, of North Platte. The three female passengers, who suffered only minor injuries, have not named.

Investigators say they suspect alcohol consumption played a role in the crash.
